Planning the title

Image
Planning the Title The titles I have decided on... Uncanny - Uncanny means something different in a normal world. Wings of Ruin - Shows Selene's ruin of freedom I didn't choose the title "Wings Of Freedom" because it has a negative effect on the story, therefore For the title I've decided on the word "Uncanny" Meaning of "Uncanny" "Uncanny" means strange, mysterious, or unsettling in a way that feels supernatural. It describes a familiar sense that is disturbingly different.    I decided to name my story "Uncanny" because it resembles the word's meaning and fits well with its theme.  The protagonist faces a process of magical experimentation that is very unusual relating to the theme of uncanny  She being a mutated creature with wings is also unusual relating to the theme  Having magical powers in a normal world is also unusual and related to the theme of the supernatural in the definition of the word "uncanny...

Mock Shoot

Mock Shoot self reflection Here as I re-watch my footage I find my flaws, I should choose more proper angles to shoot the videos. And my footage should be darker to match the theme.  Try to connect videos more accurately   My mock shoot is not perfect, but I may use some of these mock clips that are well aligned for my final product.

StoryLine Planning

Image
StoryLine Planning  My story is based on dark fantasy, so I have planned a storyline based on this genre.  Story in short In a (not so normal ) dystopian world people who are sentenced to death are seen as out cased and is no longer important in society, for this reason criminals with the death sentence are sent to a experimental facility that experiments with different kinds of magical posions that may result in death or mutations the sole reason for this to be done is because the magic/powers are the only solution for humans to survive during the ongoing war, Selene a criminal went through this experimental process and was resulted in wings, this being a positive out come more experiments where performed and even one of her wings where removed and she tried once to get out but then she was caught again due to this anger she then exploded with power to her extension of power resulting her going free to the real world now the government is finding for her the journey con...

Prop Design

Image
Prop Design  Here shows what I used to make my props.  Clothing: For the blood in this costume, I used red coloring, and to get the burned effect, I burnt a few parts of the cloth and highlighted it with a dark brown border to make it prominent. The Wing: For the wing, I have used a material called soft foam to create the feather and a harder layer of foam for the base,   Then I used Tencils to trace out the shape of thorns for feathers and then pasted it on the hard foam (the base) Then I slightly painted it highlighting the feathers and burned it to get that burnt wing effect Then I painted my wing with brown and a hint of red and then I highlighted the parts I burnt in black, Total changes:

The Cast

Image
The Cast Selene Vail (The Mutant) played by: Name  - Suhashi De Silva Age - 17 Appearance - I chose this  person as my Protagonist because she matches my character's appearance, for example, having curly hair and a thin body to highlight the character's troubles.
